As part of my HNG Internship, I was tasked with designing an augmented reality (AR) experience in 5 days. The challenge was to create an immersive and interactive experience that aligns with Apple’s premium and minimalist aesthetic while allowing users to explore products, engage with demos, and make seamless purchases within the AR application. Key considerations included ensuring the experience reflected Apple’s brand identity, providing an intuitive user journey, and optimizing performance across multiple devices and platforms.
I began by analyzing Apple’s design system, focusing on their commitment to simplicity, elegance, and user-centric design.
CREATING THE FLOW
I further divided the attendee experience into two groups: in-person and virtual attendees. I analyzed Apple’s design principles—simplicity, elegance, and user-centricity—to develop ideas that align with the brand.

Key solutions I identified included:
Interactive product demos, allowing users to move and place 3D replicas of the images in their real environments.
A seamless purchasing experience was also designed, enabling users to buy products directly within the AR application with a streamlined checkout process and customization options.
Additionally, I explored integration with the physical event, where in-person attendees could scan QR codes to access exclusive AR content within the Apple showroom.

This project showcased my ability to blend cutting-edge technology with refined design principles by successfully creating an AR experience that incorporated Apple's design system. The project demonstrated my strengths in UX design, AR interaction design, and my ability to create immersive, user-centered digital experiences.
